Studio Z Brixton is a 2,000 sq ft unique railway arch multi-purpose Events Space and Photography Studio. It also comprises a fully equipped professional Kitchen. Located in South London's vibrant Brixton, we are just a few minutes walk from Brixton underground / train stations and a short distance from Central London. Studio Z spans two interlinked spaces. The first is an exposed brick high ceiling 50ft x 25ft “blank canvas” space with a standing capacity for 160 guests and seating capacity for 100 guests. This space is a popular option for those wishing to host a wide range of corporate and private events from company receptions & conferences, product launches, exhibitions, film screenings, press events and workshops to wedding receptions, private dining, supper clubs and birthdays. With beautiful exposed Victorian brickwork, natural daylight, blackout options and fantastic acoustics, this space also lends itself perfectly to film screenings or music and theatre plays performances. The second unit comprises a lounge which can be used as an office space and features a large fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchen perfect for catering your next event. This space leads onto a private outdoor terrace and contains newly refurbished toilet facilities. Our venue is available for wet or dry hire with an almost endless list of options to accommodate your every need. We can arrange on-site catering, assist with venue decorations, provide bar and security staff, organise live music / DJ, lighting and audio visual equipment. Our hire starts from just £150/ph +VAT (with a minimum booking of 4 hours) Sundays to Mondays and £175/ph +VAT (with a minimum booking of 5 hours) on Fridays and Saturdays. Patch rules
Studio Z House rules during installation and setup unless otherwise agreed by No screwing into walls No double sided tape No Painting of walls or floors House rules during an event Doors must remain closed while music playing after 9pm. Interior Db level cannot exceed 80db Exterior Db level cannot exceed 58db Number of guests within the building cannot exceed: Studio Z: 160 House rules during de-rig; All branding, signage, promotional materials, equipment and any other items must be removed by the end of the booking period. STUDIO Z reserves the right to impose charges at their discretion, for any items not removed. STUDIO Z reserves the right to dispose of any items left at the venue at the end of the booking period. Cancellation In the event of a booking being cancelled, a cancellation fee will be payable as per the table below: Cancellation within 90 days of the event = a cancellation fee of 10% of the total cost Cancellation within 60 days of the event = a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost Cancellation within 7 days = 100% of the total cost being due. STUDIO Z have public liability insurance to the value of 5 million. The client must have their own Public Liability cover to the same or higher value, to be presented if requested by Studio Z. A £1500 damage deposit is required to be held by STUDIO Z against any possible damage or additional charges. Damage at STUDIO Z is rare, and if any does occur it will be fully discussed with the client. Additional charges that may be deducted from the damage deposit are, but not limited to; property damage, additional bar charges, additional waste removal etc. In the event of there being no damage or additional charges the damage deposit will be refunded within 7 days of the booking date to a nominated UK bank account via BACS. Loss or damage to the client’s possessions or equipment, damage caused by the client and/or accidents caused by the client are in no way the responsibility of STUDIO Z. To the satisfaction of STUDIO Z, clients will repair damage and make good losses they cause during the hire period. The client agrees to protect the venue against theft and damage. The client accepts responsibility for safeguarding the security of their guests, staff, equipment and all areas of STUDIO Z and its fixtures and fittings throughout the hire period. The client takes responsibility for following all fire and safety rules during the hire period. A representative of STUDIO Z will be available to explain our fire risk assessment upon request at a mutually convenient time before the hire commences.
