Patch rules

1. Professional Standards Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times. Treat all clients, colleagues, and staff with respect. Keep music, language, and conversations appropriate for a shared workspace. 2. Salon Use Each stylist is responsible for cleaning their station after every client. Shared areas (backwash, reception, refreshment station, toilets) must be left tidy after use. 3. Clients Stylists are responsible for booking, managing, and taking payment from their own clients. Walk-in clients will be offered fairly, but it’s the stylist’s choice to accept them. Any complaints from clients must be handled professionally and, if necessary, raised with management. 4. Health & Safety Comply with all health & safety and hygiene guidelines. Hair colour patch testing is the stylist’s responsibility. Electrical tools must be in a safe condition to use. 5. Use of Supplies & Equipment Towels, shampoo, conditioner, refreshments, and WiFi are included — please use considerately. Each stylist has their own lockable storage; keep personal stock, scissors, and electricals secure. Report any breakages or issues with equipment immediately. 6. Salon Hours & Access Stylists may choose their own working hours, but must respect building access rules and security procedures. Doors to be locked securely when entering or leaving outside of peak hours. 7. Rent & Payments Rent is payable weekly or monthly in advance, as agreed. Failure to pay rent on time may result in loss of chair access. No percentage split – all earnings belong to the stylist. 8. Team Culture Brighton Hair Collective is a supportive community. Collaboration and encouragement are expected. Any conflicts should be resolved respectfully and, if needed, with management mediation.
